Mark joined Hansen House Company in February 2016 and became a shareholder in January 2021. A 1987 cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Mark started his career with McGladrey & Pullen, eventually rising to the level of Director and managing the Duluth office's Small Business Group. In 2006, he moved to Shel/Don Group as their CFO and became a co-owner in 2007. Mark has a broad knowledge of small business accounting and taxation issues and has consulted on several mergers, sales, and acquisitions of small business.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently serving as Secretary on the Ridgeview Country Club board of directors and has held many other positions there including President. He is also the Treasurer of the Harbortown Rotary Club, the Harbortown Investment Club, and the Lake Minnesuing Sanitary District. His past community involvement included positions on the Lake Minnesuing Association, SMDC Foundation board, Family of God Lutheran Church Council, Junior Achievement Duluth-Superior Area, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, and coaching youth basketball.
A proud fourth generation Duluthian, Mark is an avid golfer and outdoorsman, loves traveling and camping, and always enjoys a good hike.
